Nashville Wire Products Mfg Co has purchased substantially all of the assets of their leading competitor AWP Industries of Frankfort. The acquisition, which was finalized on December 30th 2011, establishes Nashville Wire as the undisputed leading manufacturer of wire decking for pallet rack and welded wire mesh containers.
Perforated metal is main family products now under its third generation of family management. The company operates in three primary markets: material handling, retail displays, and components for the appliance industry.

Although there are several types of possible temporary fences, the two main ones are plastic-coated metal mesh or completely plastic mesh fencing, usually orange.Both types are strung between metal posts and can be put up with few tools and a minimum of fuss. The poles and fencing can be purchased at most hardware or homebuilding supplies and garden stores. The resulting fence can close in a construction site, garden spot, landscaping area or play area.
1. Place "T"-type metal poles in the ground at the end (corner) points of the area to be fenced off. Metal poles should have a "V" type attachment about a foot from the bottom, which can be used to push the pole into the ground with a heavy boot step and will then help anchor the pole when it is pounded down further with a mallet.
Run a chalk line or string between the end poles so a straight line of poles can be placed at 10-foot intervals. (Each pole is placed in the ground the same way the end or corner poles were placed.) Roll out the fencing on the ground along the line where the fence posts go.
2. Start the end of the 4-foot fencing (which comes in 50-foot lengths) at one end pole by wrapping the fencing once around the pole. Place four zip ties at top, bottom and two mid-point intervals at about 18 inches and 30 inches from the bottom. (If plastic coated metal "wire mesh fence" type fencing is used instead of plastic mesh, the end horizontal wires of the substituted wire mesh fence type of fence can be individually wrapped around the pole and twisted upon themselves with pliers to anchor the fence instead of zip ties. Wear gloves because the ends of the cut wires are sharp.) Fencing can be rolled out on the ground along the line where it is to be erected.
3. Stretch the fencing between poles and pull zip ties tight at the same four points on each pole along the length of the fencing. Repeat the process until all fencing is pulled tight and upright along the length of the fence enclosure.
4. At the last point, wrap the fencing around the corner post and cut it with tin snips. Attach the fencing to the post with short bungee chords or other fasteners that can easily be undone to allow access. Clean up scraps and leftover poles so no dangerous debris is on site.
PVC panels are low maintenance building materials typically used on the ceilings in a house to add beauty and elegance or to cover uneven surfaces. These panels are tongue and groove and can be installed with moderate effort by any homeowner. With just a few instructions and the proper materials, PVC panels can be installed quickly.
1. Measure the length and width of the ceiling to get the total square footage which will determine how many pieces will be necessary for installation. Divide the total square footage of the ceiling by eight, which is the square footage of the panels, to figure out the number of panels that will be used for installation.
2. Line the first piece up to the ceiling beginning in any corner of the room. Run a bead of silicone caulk along the ceiling where the panel will be installed. Push the panel in place and hold it for a minute so it can adhere to the caulk.
3. Insert staples all over the panel to secure it to the ceiling. Space the staples out evenly and make sure the first panel is secure to the ceiling before letting go.
4. Apply silicone sealant caulk to the ceiling where the second panel will go and slide it into the first panel. Lock it into place so it is secure and push it against the ceiling to allow the silicone time to stick to it. Insert staples just like the previous panel. Continue down the ceiling until reaching the end of the first row.
5. Cut the panel to size if necessary with a hack saw. Measure and mark where the cut needs to be made and carefully follow along the lines to cut the panel to size. Install this panel in the same manner. Move on to the second row and continue across the ceiling until all the panels have been properly installed and are secured to the ceiling.

1. Set up a step ladder. Move around the room, removing loose paint and debris from the ceiling with a metal paint scraper.
2. Tack the end of a chalk line in one corner of the ceiling with a thumb tack. Move the ladder to the corner across the room, hold the chalk line in the corner and snap the line across the ceiling. Move the chalk line to the other corner and repeat the process to create an "X" across the ceiling.
3. Measure the distance from the wall to the center of the "X" with a tape measure.
4. Move the step ladder to one end of the room. Measure off the wall you measured the distance to the "X." Place a mark on the ceiling at the dimension you measured with a carpenter’s pencil. Move to the other end of the shower room and repeat the process.
5. Tack the end of the chalk line to one of the carpenter’s pencil mark with a thumb tack. Move to the other pencil mark, align the chalk line with the other pencil mark and snap a line dividing the room in half.
6. Pour contact cement into the paint roller pan.
7. Roll contact adhesive onto the back of the PVC ceiling tiles and the marked ceiling with a 4-inch paint roller.
8. Align one edge of the glued PVC ceiling tile with the pencil line. Press the tile against the ceiling to stick the tile in place. Move along the pencil line, pressing the PVC ceiling tiles in place.
9. Continue attaching the tiles until you reach a point that you need to cut the tiles.
10. Measure the distance from the edge of the last row of tile to the wall.
11. Cut the PVC tiles to length with a utility knife. Glue and press the tiles into place as described earlier.

2. Position the piece of PVC foam board square over the hole to be repaired. Trace around the square onto the board to be repaired. Cut out the square shape from the board to be repaired with a utility knife.
3. Coat the inside edge of the square hole in the board with glue. Slip the square shape into the square hole. Wipe off any excess glue with a rag.

In June 2010 Hubbard and lines company Vector teamed up to create the largest thin-film solar traffic signs (PV) installation on a commercial business in New Zealand.
A total of 160 PV panels covering 227sq m on the roof of the Hubbard building in Mangere produce power for warehouse lighting.
It was hoped the panels would generate 29,000kW/h of electricity a year - the equivalent of the power used to produce 169,000 packets of cereal, or the amount of electricity consumed by 3.5 homes over the same time.
The results of the trial have been encouraging. Because of the thin-film technology in these solar panel, electricity is generated even in low light conditions on cloudy days.
Although the actual amount of electricity generated has been slightly lower than projected, Vector says it has been an opportunity to refine system tools and project estimates for use on future installations.
During the past 18 months it has generated more than $8000 of solar collector power.
In certain applications, like Department of Conservation diesel conversion projects on Great Barrier Island and Raoul Island, solar PV is considered mainstream and economic, compared with the price and transport of diesel fuel.
